Shipping of Fine Art Prints

Shipping Regions

We currently ship to the following countries:
Germany, European Union (EU), United Kingdom (UK), United States of America (USA), Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

For other countries, please contact us at info@melissadowden-art.com — we’ll be happy to check what’s possible.

1. Important Notes on Production & Delivery

Our art prints are professionally produced directly after purchase, digitally signed, and carefully packaged before being safely delivered to your home – all in a climate-neutral manner.
All packaging materials consist of a mix of recycled, recyclable, or biodegradable materials.

Please note that delivery times consist of both production and shipping time.
The stated delivery times are estimates.
In-person pickup is currently not available.

2. Shipping to Germany & the European Union (EU)

  • Shipping method: Climate-neutral shipping with DHL GoGreen or a comparable service
  • Shipping costs: Free of charge – shipping is on us!
  • Taxes: All prices include the statutory German VAT
  • Delivery time: approx. 3–11 days after order

3. Shipping to the United Kingdom (UK)

  • Shipping method: Climate-neutral shipping with Royal Mail or a comparable service
  • Shipping costs: Free of charge – shipping is on us!
  • Taxes: Prices for orders from the United Kingdom already include British VAT.
  • We are currently in the process of registering for a UK VAT number.
  • Once registration is complete, we can provide an updated invoice showing UK VAT upon request.
  • Delivery time: approx. 3–8 days after order

4. Shipping to the USA

  • Shipping method: Courier delivery (e.g. FedEx, UPS, or DHL Express) with tracking
  • Shipping costs: Free of charge – shipping is on us!
  • Taxes & customs: Sales are made net (without German VAT).
  • Depending on the state, local taxes or handling fees may apply and must be paid upon delivery.
  • Delivery time: approx. 6–10 days after order

5. Shipping to Canada

  • Shipping method: Courier delivery (e.g. FedEx, UPS, or DHL Express) with tracking
  • Shipping costs: Free of charge – shipping is on us!
  • Taxes & customs: Sales are made net (without German VAT).
  • Any applicable Canadian import taxes, customs duties, or handling fees are levied by local authorities and must be paid by the buyer.
  • Delivery time: approx. 6–10 days after order

6. Shipping to Australia & New Zealand

  • Shipping method: International shipping with tracking
  • Shipping costs: We have tried to absorb as much of the shipping costs as possible – however, part of the international shipping costs must unfortunately be charged to the customer
  • Taxes & customs: Sales are made net. Import taxes, customs duties, or additional fees may apply and are levied by the respective customs authorities and must be paid by the buyer.
  • Delivery time: approx. 5–15 days after order

Shipping within the Art Mail Club (AMC)

Art Mail Club shipments are generally sent once per subscription month, following completion of the respective production phase.

Specific shipping or delivery dates cannot be guaranteed. Unfortunately, we cannot provide exact shipping or delivery dates, as delays, disruptions, or other postal issues may occur at any time. We have consciously decided against using tracking in order to keep the price of the Art Mail Club as low as possible – however, we would like to emphasize that we will always do our best to ensure that Art Mail Club shipments reach their respective addresses as quickly as possible.


Deviations from the delivery times stated for individual products do not constitute a defect.

For Art Mail Club shipments, shipping costs are included in the monthly subscription price unless expressly stated otherwise.

Returns for Damaged or Lost Artworks

You’ve been eagerly waiting for your print, open the package with excitement — and it’s damaged?
Or maybe it never arrived at all? That’s the worst (we’d be just as upset!).
If this ever happens, please contact us within 48 hours and send us photos of the damage.
We’ll make sure to send you a replacement at no additional cost.
